 E-Resources – Overdrive/Libby AppGauteng Overdrive

Due to the Corona outbreak (COVID 19), all the libraries will be closed until further notice. However, library users can still utilise our electronic resources to read e-books in the comfort of their own homes. All books that were previously loaned out will be automatically renewed.

Library users can use their library cards to borrow e-books and audiobooks anywhere by using their smartphones, laptops or personal computers. It is a very simple process and all you have to do is the following:

  1. Download the Overdrive or Libby App (https://gauteng.overdrive.com/)
  2. Select your library (e.g. Midvaal)
  3. Enter your library card number which is found at the back of your card to sign in.
  4. Search for your desired e-book or audiobook
  5. There are different titles to choose from and users are allowed to borrow a maximum of books at a time for 14 days. The digital books return itself so there are no late fees that will be charged.
  6. If you can’t find the title that you want, you can just recommend it.

If you require any assistance please call Nomvula  on 016 360 7443 or send an email to nomvulag@midvaal.gov.za
